My name is Dr. Raj Jheeta. I am a naturopathic physician. I have been in private practice in Richmond, British Columbia for 26 years.

Dr. Jheeta began his journey almost 30 years ago. As a student at the University of British Columbia he was directing his energy towards becoming a Pharmacist. He soon understood the limitations of this traditional form of health care, and that the primary goal in allopathic medicine was to manage and treat the signs and symptoms of illness. Very rarely was the underlying cause of the disease process addressed. He also noticed that the existing health care system was very effective at treating sudden and acute health crises and that many health care issues were slow and insidious. After concluding that the traditional health care system was failing dismally in the adequate treatment of chronic health concerns, he soon became disillusioned.

In the early 1980’s preventative medicine was almost a lost art. Traditional medical philosophy had literally brainwashed the majority of people into becoming a “pill popping “society, and dependent on the system.

The very definition of the Doctor as the teacher, and the patient as a student had all but been erased! We were no longer responsible for our own health. Frustrated, Dr. Jheeta began to search for answers.

A notable influence at that time. Dr. Jheeta met a chiropractor and was intrigued with the underlying philosophy of chiropractic medicine. The idea of removing the obstructions in the path of health, and the body would heal itself was a revelation - simple yet profound! Further searching led Dr. Jheeta to discover the National college of Naturopathic Medicine. Over the next 4 years he would learn to use the natural medicines of the earth, and how to teach his patients to understand their bodies. The goal was to provide the body, mind and spirit the tools necessary to heal.

Thomas A. Edison once said, “The doctor of the future will give no medicine but will interest his patients in the care of the human frame, in a proper diet, and in the cause and prevention of disease.”

I would like you to know that the Doctor of the future is here, and follow these fundamentals:

• We are highly trained licensed professionals with an emphasis on prevention
• We believe education is the key to true prevention
• We apply and integrated approach to healing
• Investing time and money in education will create the best outcome for all patients

Dr. Raj Jheeta is dedicated to educating individuals and families about their health. He has been a practicing naturopathic doctor in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada since 1988. He received his doctoral degree in naturopathic medicine from the National College of Naturopathic Medicine in Portland, Oregon in 1987.

The Internet is a vast network of computers. Because the data passes from computer to computer, some Internet shoppers worry that unauthorized persons may intercept the data and gain access to credit card numbers, but shopping on a secure site is actually safer than handing a credit card to a waiter in a restaurant. Taking the steps below will lower the chances of interception of your credit card number:

Limit your online shopping to Internet merchants, such as GHF, with sites equipped with Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) technology.SSL prevents unauthorized people from intercepting your data.Use a browser, that supports SSL. These browsers show a symbol in the status bar, such as a key or lock, when you are on a site that uses SSL. Most banks will cover the cost of fraud resulting from unauthorized use of your credit card or may limit your liability. Credit card information collected by GHF is encrypted through Secure Sockets Layer before it is transmitted over the Internet.
